I am pretty sure that in most long term reviews I've read, the curved tv's have performed the same as other higher end tv's. Most reviewers say the supposed benefits from the curve are just not so, and in fact the curve actually decreases viewing angles and increases glares meaning there is less of a viewing angle/fewer seating positions where you get the optimal viewing experience.
Having said that, hopefully some Opponauts have purchased and can give you their first hand opinions.

Yes let me spend thousands of dollars on a beautiful outdoor set up over looking nature and awesomeness and then put this massive 75" TV in front of it all so I don't have to look at it...

you can just hook up a camera to the back and it will, for all intents and purposes, be transparent. tech makes all of nature obsolete and unnecessary.
